Health & Safety Courses
First Response runs a wide range of Bristol Health and Safety (HSE) training courses:
- HSE FAW First Aid at Work 3-day Certification Course
This 3 day health and safety course helps to ensure that health and safety at work laws are met by providing adequate first aid provisions for employees. The HSE first aid at work course ensures that first aid personnel receive the necessary training so that they feel confident should they be required to apply their first aid training in the work place.
- HSE FAW First Aid at Work 2-day Re-qualifying Course
This 2 day requalifying health and safety course enables your designated first aiders to renew their HSE First Aid at Work certificate. It also provides them with an opportunity to update their HSE training knowledge and skills to ensure that they have the confidence and skills required to deal with any HSE first aid issues at work.
- HSE FAW First Aid at Work Update First Aid Skills
Although HSE First Aid at Work Training courses are only required every three years by law in order to maintain a certificate, some employers may request that more frequent HSE training is received by the first aiders. This short course provides valuable updates to first aiders skill and knowledge.
- HSE EFAW Emergency First Aid at Work 1-day Course
This 6 hour health and safety course provides successful candidates with an EFAW First Aid Certificate, which is valid for a period of 3 years. Candidates will learn how to safely administer first aid to patients in a range of situations, as well as how to understand the role of a first aider and how to act in the event of an emergency.
- HSE EFAW Emergency First Aid at Work 1-day Re-qualifying Course
This EFAW requalifying course should be taken every 3 years, and candidates’ original EFAW certificate will be stamped to indicate that their refresher training has been completed.
- Paediatric/Early Years First Aid 2-day Course
This 2 day first aid training course is designed for those who are responsible for the care of children and infants. The first aid content meets the requirements for pre-school and primary school first aiders set by the Early Years Practitioners, Ofsted and the Pre-school learning alliance.
