First Aid/Emergency at Work (FAW/EFAW) 3-Hour Annual Update Course

This 3-hour Level 3 Award First Aid at Work and Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW/FAW) Annual Update Course ensures learners are maintaining and updating their levels of knowledge and skills. This is important in every aspect of working life - particularly when those skills may be used infrequently, are complex, or could be important in saving a life.

To maintain an QA/QCF* HSE First Aid at Work certificate, HSE now stipulates First Aiders "Remain Competent to perform their role" by attending an annual refresher every year. First Response recognises that many First Aiders and their employers are now demanding more frequent update training. Please find more course information below and number of places available (up to 12 per date), including what successful students will be able to achieve.

Level 3 EFAW/FAW Annual Update (3-Hour Course)

Course overview:

  • - Primary Survey: Introduction to DRABC and CABC
  • - CPR: The unresponsive casualty who is not breathing normally
  • - Unconscious Casualty: Recovery position
  • - External bleeding and shock: Treatment of bleeding and the casualty in shock
  • - Managing a casualty in seizure

Payments:

Payment must be received within 24 hours of your booking to secure your place. You can pay by PayPal (Credit Card payments are also accepted by Pay Pal), by Billing payment/BACS using sort code 40-14-18 and account number 31753177 clearly stating your name and course date in the payment reference, or by invoice by prior agreement. All our courses are VAT exempt and therefore VAT will not be applied.

Important:

Photo identification will be required to be presented on the day to verify your course booking. Clothing should be worn that is suitable for performing practical exercises, some of which will be on the floor. On the day candidates will be required to successfully complete practical and theory assessments.
