Longer needles - more suitable for heavier people?

Recent ultrasound studies in the USA and UK, have revealed that more than half of women, and a growing proportion of kids have a skin to muscle depth beyond the reach of the needles fitted to Epipens/Jexts.

 

Emerade 500 300 150 Epi PensEmerade have developed an adrenaline auto-injector used for the emergency treatment of severe acute allergic reactions (anaphylaxis) to foods, medicines or insect stings.

 

It can also be used for exercise induced anaphylaxis. Emerade is a Prescription only Medicine (PoM) and available at the pharmacy.
